  1. well said. danny siegel (my mentor and teach - http://www.dannysiegel.com) often teaches about how tzedakah money always belongs to the recipient. and i started a discussion called ‘when giving tzedakah can be a criminal offense’ (http://draimanconsulting.com/draiman_tzedakah_criminal.html) one can never be too careful when giving out tzedakah funds. given properly, great mitzvah. given poorly (sorry for the pun), then tzedakah hasn’t happened, and worse, i believe, you are liable/culpable for the ‘not giving’.
