  1. This essay is so honest and raw, and the artwork is beautiful and complicated and touching. She thoughtfully explains the various images in the collage, but the work is powerful enough to stand on it’s own even without explanation. It reminds me of hieroglyphics, a story told in pictures. Excellent writing, as always, by Judith Margolis, an amazing artist.
